Hello blog…long time no see!
I have been MIA for the past few months just enjoying life and enjoying the holiday season. But I am back, so happy 2018 to everyone!!
I decided that my first blog post for the year are going to be my new year resolutions.
I don’t think I’ve made a new year resolution in the last 5 years! In recent years I’ve always thought ‘why’ or ‘just go with whatever life throws at you’.
But this year, I am turning a new leaf, I am not getting any younger and my girls are watching my every move, so I need to show them that Mommy too can make accomplishments.
Jack is always accomplishing goals, but I kid you not, this year his New Year resolution is to slow down and enjoy the little things in life more. He can be somewhat of an overachiever, and sometimes, that can drive me crazy. It’s only January 25th and I had to remind him of his new year resolution a few times already haha. You better stay on top of it Jack!
As for myself, I am by no means an overachiever. I tend to settle with how my life is, and I am okay with that. I think I am that way because I hate to deal with changes, hate dealing with anxiety and stress. I just enjoy my life and everything about it. I am always focusing on the positives that surround me, even if they are so little. Especially with me being a mom and wife, I solely put all my focus on my family. But I have some new year resolutions I need to accomplish:
- Eat more veggies!
Even for my girls, I am lacking!
- More cardio.
Working out is very difficult with these two young girls and a very busy husband. I want to get into running, so my treadmill is the best option & I need to use it more!
- Blog more!
I love blogging, hate when I take breaks from it.
- Learn to sew more professionally.
If you know me, you know I love to sew. I think a seamstress or dressmaking position is in my future, but I still have a lot to learn. Maybe take some classes at a fashion school. If you do what you love then it won’t feel like work!
- As for my mommy duties, I want to put Jo in swimming lessons, start her on ABC Mouse, and take her to the library more!
Those are my main resolutions! Do you have any? Thank you all for reading, take care!
